our little story
Shortly after the birth of my first child,
I found myself recording all of his milestones in Excel,
keeping journal entries in MS Word, and using on-line photo
services to send pictures. On top of it all,
I felt a nagging dread that at some point I would have to
convert all of my random electronic data into the hardcover
baby book that someone had given me at my baby shower. (and I wasn't even sure where it was).
I thought, "Wouldn't it be great if I could record all of this
information on the web, share it with family and friends, and have it automatically transformed into a
beautiful, hardcover baby book?"
So,I began scouring the web for something that would let me do EVERYTHING.
I found plenty of interesting sites.
But I couldn't find the app I wanted.
You see, I really did want to have a traditional, hardcover book. I just wanted to make it on-line.
I began to ask other moms how they were doing on their baby books and
I started to realize that what I wanted was really what most new moms wanted--
a way to create a traditional book and simultaneously share photos, thoughts and development
with family and friends on-line.
To that end my partner and I began working on LittleChapters.com.
I like to think we're doing for baby books, what cake mix did for cakes.
They're still home-made...just much, much easier!
